Hi, guys.

Hoping this community will give a lending hand with an issue of mine. Been browsing, but thus far found no advice regarding this matter: Maximus VIII Formula mobo keeps displaying a black screen, and can't even enter bios thanks to that.

I've been working on this issue the whole day, and nearly everything's ready. Thing is, I have purchased a Kaby Lake cpu, which means I'm required to update my mobo to the latest version even if it's a beta version (though, it does improve stability, or so it says).

After I flashed my mobo with the latest update, it doesn't respond; there's just a black screen with the mobo indicating no sign of errors. Granted, I can't tell for a fact that it would have been different had I used the default version since, as I mentioned above, it's either latest beta version 3101 or nothing if I am to use Kaby Lake.

How I've been attempting to fix it:

Booting up with and without a dedicated graphics card (this case, GTX 960)
switched monitor input from DP to DVI
W/ and without ram
W/ and without CPU
No hard drive or ssd has been inserted into the mobo (not really an attempt, but just a side note)

Anyhow, I'm hoping to hear some smart advice.

ninja edit: also, I reinserted cmos: nothing.
